A detailed history, neurological examination, objective nerve testing where indicated, and review of relevant laboratory information that may relate to nerve health.

Is this a substitute for my neurologist or primary care physician?

No. We work alongside your other providers and refer out when findings call for it.

What if my numbness has a cause you can't address?

We tell you directly and point you toward the appropriate specialist rather than starting a program that isn't indicated.

How do you decide whether this is appropriate for me?

Through an evaluation. We review your history, examine you, look at any relevant imaging or laboratory information, and discuss your goals. Only then do we talk about whether this option — or any option — makes sense for your situation.

Is this covered by insurance?

Most of the services in this category are not covered by insurance. We discuss cost openly before anything is scheduled, so you can make an informed decision.

What happens if this isn't the right fit for me?

We tell you. If your findings point toward a different approach — including care outside this practice — we say so and help direct you to the appropriate provider.

The neuropathy program at Regenerative Medicine of Raynham begins with objective nerve testing and a review of the metabolic and circulatory factors that may be affecting nerve health. Rather than applying one therapy to every patient, the evaluation determines which supportive components — if any — are appropriate for you, and whether referral to another provider is the better next step.

Understanding Neuropathy

Peripheral neuropathy refers to damage or dysfunction involving nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. Symptoms may include:

Numbness
Pins & Needles

Balance or Walking Difficulties
Nerve-Related Discomfort

Neuropathy can have many different causes, including metabolic disorders such as diabetes, nutritional deficiencies, certain medications or chemotherapy, nerve compression, autoimmune conditions and other medical problems.

Sometimes the cause remains unclear even after evaluation.

Our Evaluation-First Approach

Rather than assuming that every patient with neuropathy needs the same treatment, we look at the individual. Depending on your history and clinical findings, the evaluation may consider factors such as:
