Knee Decompression
Featuring Knee On Trac® Technology
A Non-Surgical Approach to Reducing Mechanical Stress on the Knee
Knee decompression uses controlled mechanical traction to temporarily reduce loading across the knee joint.
At Regenerative Medicine of Raynham, we use the Knee On Trac system by Ergo-Flex Technologies as a non-invasive option within individualized treatment plans for selected patients with knee pain, stiffness or limitations in function.
Serving Raynham, MA and Southeastern Massachusetts.
What Is Knee Decompression?
The Knee On Trac system uses controlled, progressive traction applied to the knee while the patient is comfortably seated.
The amount of traction can be adjusted to the individual patient. The goal is to temporarily reduce compressive loading across the knee and provide controlled mechanical distraction of the joint.
Treatment is non-surgical and does not involve injections or medication.
When Might We Consider Knee Decompression?
Depending on the patient's evaluation and clinical findings, knee decompression may be considered for individuals experiencing:
- Knee Pain
- Joint Stiffness
- Reduced Mobility
- Degenerative Joint Changes
- Difficulty With Weight-Bearing Activities
Whether Knee On Trac is appropriate depends on the patient's history, examination findings, available imaging, symptoms and goals.

Knee decompression is one tool — not the entire treatment plan.
Depending on the evaluation, it may be combined with rehabilitation, strengthening, other mechanical therapies or additional approaches appropriate for the individual patient.
Is Knee Decompression Right for You?
Not every patient with knee pain needs knee decompression.
The first step is understanding what may be contributing to your symptoms and determining whether Knee On Trac — or another approach — is appropriate for you.
We don't begin with a treatment. We begin with an evaluation.
