Headaches

Headaches Are Disrupting Your Life.
Let's Look Beyond the Pain.

Headaches can have many possible contributors. Our evaluation looks beyond the location of the pain to consider the neck, cranial and facial mechanics, breathing and sinus-related factors, previous head or neck injury, and other findings that may influence how you feel.

Headaches are evaluated at Regenerative Medicine of Raynham in Raynham, MA through a cranial-facial and cervical lens. Dr. Brian Petrie, DC reviews your headache history and pattern, neck findings, nasal and breathing factors, and any previous head or neck injury to identify possible contributors — then discusses individualized options, including Cranial Facial Release when appropriate or referral when another provider is the better path. What Could Be Contributing to Your Headaches?

Cranial & Facial Mechanics

Restrictions involving cranial and facial structures may be considered as part of the overall evaluation.

Neck & Musculoskeletal Factors

Joint motion, muscle tension, posture, or previous neck injury may contribute to certain headache patterns.

Nasal & Sinus Factors

Congestion, pressure, breathing limitations, and nasal or sinus-related factors may accompany some headache presentations.

Previous Head or Neck Injury

Concussion, whiplash, or other trauma may be relevant when headaches begin or persist after an injury.

Different headache patterns can have very different causes, which is why understanding what may be contributing to your symptoms comes first.

Our Approach — A Cranial-Facial Lens

Our evaluation considers how the neck, cranial and facial structures, nasal passages, breathing, previous trauma, and other individual factors may relate to your headache pattern. When appropriate, Cranial Facial Release (CFR) may be discussed as part of an individualized care plan.

How we evaluate patients
  1. Evaluate contributing factors
  2. Support cranial & facial function
  3. Improve function & quality of life

These are supportive care goals. We do not represent that any approach treats, cures, prevents, or permanently resolves migraine or other headache disorders.

What Is Cranial Facial Release?

Cranial Facial Release (CFR) is a specialized balloon-assisted endonasal cranial technique. Small balloons are carefully positioned within the nasal passages and briefly inflated with the intended goal of opening nasal breathing passages and mobilizing cranial and facial structures. When discussed, CFR is presented as one possible component of an individualized plan — not as a cure for headache or migraine disorders.

What you can expect

Personalized Evaluation

An evaluation of your headache history, symptom pattern, neck and cranial-facial findings, previous injuries, breathing, and other relevant factors.

Look Beyond the Symptoms

We consider factors that may be contributing to your headache pattern rather than assuming every headache has the same cause.

Honest Recommendations

CFR or other supportive approaches are discussed only when your evaluation suggests they may be appropriate.

Referral When Appropriate

Headaches can sometimes require medical evaluation. When your history or findings indicate another provider or diagnostic workup is appropriate, we'll tell you.

How long does it take?

Every patient responds differently. The timeline below reflects general patterns and is provided for educational purposes only — not as a prediction of individual results.

  1. 1

    First 1–2 weeks

The focus is on the evaluation itself — mapping your headache pattern, neck findings, breathing, and any prior injury.

  2. 2

    Weeks 2–6

Care is individualized to what the evaluation found. Some patients notice changes in headache frequency, nasal pressure, or neck comfort during this window.

  3. 3

    Weeks 6–12

Findings are re-checked and recommendations adjusted, including referral if your response suggests another workup is appropriate.

  4. 4

    3–6+ months

Attention shifts to maintaining the neck, breathing, and daily habits that appear to influence your headache pattern.
