Exercise With Oxygen Therapy (EWOT)
Featuring LiveO2 Adaptive Contrast® Technology
Combining Exercise With Controlled Oxygen Variation
Exercise With Oxygen Therapy (EWOT) combines physical exercise with controlled changes in the oxygen concentration of the air being breathed.
At Regenerative Medicine of Raynham, we use the LiveO2 Adaptive Contrast system, which allows oxygen concentration to be varied during exercise as part of an individualized training protocol.
Serving Raynham, MA and Southeastern Massachusetts.
What Is EWOT?
During an EWOT session, the patient performs controlled exercise while breathing through the LiveO2 system.
Unlike standard EWOT systems that primarily provide oxygen-enriched air, LiveO2 Adaptive Contrast allows controlled transitions between oxygen-enriched and oxygen-reduced air during exercise.
The exercise intensity and oxygen protocol can be individualized according to the patient's health, physical capacity and goals.
Why Might We Consider EWOT?
Depending on the individual's evaluation and goals, EWOT may be considered as a supportive component of a program focused on:
- Cardiovascular Conditioning
- Exercise Tolerance
- Physical Performance
- Recovery & Rehabilitation
- Metabolic Health
- General Health & Wellness
EWOT is not necessary or appropriate for every patient.
Our Approach
- 1
Evaluate
Understand the patient's health, physical capacity and goals.
- 2
Individualize
Determine whether oxygen-based exercise training is appropriate and select a suitable protocol.
- 3
Restore Function
Use exercise and other appropriate strategies to support physical conditioning and function.
EWOT is one tool — not the entire treatment plan.
Is EWOT Right for You?
Because EWOT combines exercise with changes in oxygen concentration, individual health history and exercise capacity are important considerations.
The first step is determining whether this type of training is appropriate for you and how it may fit into your overall plan.
We don't begin with a treatment. We begin with an evaluation.
