Trigenics is a unique treatment that helps correct muscle tightness/weakness, joint instability, and pain symptoms without cracking, popping, or twisting. It’s a hands-on therapy that involves a variety of instruments utilizing pulsation or vibration to the involved muscles and active breathing and movement from the patient. Dr. Petrie is one of the very few doctors in Mass who is trained in Trigenics. Trigenics is commonly used to treat areas such as neck and back pain. It often yields great results in treating chronic knee pain, rotator cuff, shoulder bursitis and frozen shoulder, hip bursitis, plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, tennis/golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic knee pain and so much more.
Trigenics® is a neuro-kinetic, sensorimotor assessment, treatment, and training system which instantly relieves pain and increases strength and movement. It is currently practiced by thousands of doctors and therapists worldwide. The complex procedures used in Trigenics® retrain the way the brain communicates its movement and/or pain signals with the muscles of the body. The treatments are either manual or involve the use of instruments or exercise equipment. The beneficial effects are instantaneous and seen immediately. If Trigenics® is what they need, patients having suffered from physical pain syndromes and/or movement dysfunctions always see strikingly measurable results on their first visit to a Trigenics® practitioner.
Before Trigenics® is administered, Dr. Petrie begins with assessing the area of complaint and its muscle’s length (tightness) and strength as it relates to symmetry, meaning how well opposite muscle groups across a joint work in unison with one another. While administering Trigenics® treatment, Dr. Petrie will use his hand, pulsation, or vibration instruments on the involved muscle groups while the patient is performing active breathing and movements. On the first treatment, a patient will typically note immediate and often dramatic, positive changes in a range of motion, strength, and pain. With increased movement and strength, patients will be able to function more efficiently in their daily and recreational activities and decrease their risk of injuries (both short-term and long-term).
