What is an Alpha 2 Macro-globulin (A2M) Injection?
With approximately 30+ million of the Americans suffering symptoms of osteoarthritis and degenerative conditions, scientists and other researchers have found a new option in the area of regenerative medicine known as Alpha 2 Macro-globulin (A2M) human plasma protein. The main goal of A2M injection is to target the most common health problems that the people face today.
Human Alpha 2 Macro-globulin (A2M) protects your tissues and boosts natural healing by binding to destructive enzymes that cause cartilage decay and osteoarthritis. These destructive enzymes eat away at your cartilaginous tissue, especially if that tissue has been damaged by a traumatic injury or overuse. As the cartilage degenerates, the joint becomes inflamed, leading to chronic pain and stiffness.
A2M protein molecules binds to these destructive protein and enzymes in your joint rendering them harmless and allowing them to be flushed naturally from your body. The A2M protein molecule itself is large and complex. It travels easily through the bloodstream and gets into joints when your circulation is good. As we age, the blood supply to joints and cartilage decreases not allowing A2M to enter the joints. Also our cartilage does not have blood vessels meaning the bad destructive proteins once they get into our joints, usually from some type of trauma, have no way of getting out of the joint and back into circulation. The anti-inflammatory effects may last for several months and joint cartilage destruction stops, depending on your circumstances. Although you may feel some mild short term soreness over the next couple of days, the down time to exercising and resuming your normal daily activity is only 1-2 days at the most.
